About Me
I have been a teacher for 20 years. I taught kindergarten for six years at a private school in Tucson. I loved teaching those kindergarteners! Then, I decided to teach in the Sunnyside Unified School District. I taught first grade for 13 years in that district. I loved teaching those first graders! Now, I am teaching first grade at Academy of Tucson where I feel extremely blessed to be a part of the Academy family.
My husband and I live with four dogs and a snake named Syd. Between us, we have three children and four grandchildren. I spend my spare time reading, knitting, cross-stitching, playing with my dogs, and watching reruns of Bones on television. Spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends is also an important part of my life.
I have always loved learning new things. I take that passion into my classroom where I try to show my students how exciting it is to learn. I feel like the luckiest person in the world when I enter my classroom. I love teaching!
